As the 20th anniversary model of the series, the Kayano 20 features the latest Asics Fluidride and Fluidfit technologies, representing an upgrade. The design is lighter, with the Fluidfit technology in the upper using multi-directional stretch mesh to create a glove-like fit. Newly added elastic support strips enhance the fit and help support the foot during stride transitions. The midsole incorporates the latest Fluidride material, reducing weight while improving rebound. The new Speva midsole, combined with an exoskeleton clutch cushioning device, achieves better stability and higher stride efficiency. For cushioning, the number of classic Gel pads in the forefoot has been increased to four and pulled back towards the arch, better reflecting the actual force distribution during running.
